Herbal preparation from Cameroon's ancestral heritage. A Category I Improved Traditional Medicine (MTA) used for the treatment of viral infections (viral hepatitis, herpes, dengue, foot-and-mouth disease, influenza, and other viral infections).

This medicine is also used in conjunction with Ngul be Tara and STD Tea to block the growth of microorganisms in the blood (septicemia), relieve inflammation, and relieve pain. This MTA inhibits viral replication and antagonizes the cytopathic effect of viruses.

Thé Mayi is rich in polyphenols, flavonoids, triterpenoids, carotenoids, glycosides, peltogynoids, and steroids. It contains mangiferin, isomangiferin, tannins, gallic acid derivatives, catechin, myricetin, rutin and many other bioactive compounds (protocatechuic acid, Indicoside A and B, friedelin, cycloartan-3β-30-diol, mangsterol, manglupenone, mangocoumarin, n-tetacosane, n-heneicosane, n-triacontane, Mangostin, etc.). Phytochemical analyses also reveal the presence of sesquiterpenes, lupeol and lupeol acetate, and quercetin, among other things, which inhibit the growth of P. falciparum and act on the early stages of the multiplication of herpes viruses HSV1 and adenovirus ADV 3.

This remedy also contains the alkaloids berberine and protoberberine, which exhibit antimalarial, anti-HIV, anti-hepatotoxic, and antitrypanosomiasis activities.

Ce MTA est riche en polyphénols, flavonoïdes et triterpenoïdes, carotenoïdes, glycosides, peltogynoides et stéroïdes.
